Why The “Pick a Niche” Advice Backfires
… and how health coaches can avoid picking a niche that will keep them broke
Every time I speak to a health coach about their training, there’s one thing they all say, no matter where they got their credentials …
They say no one ever told them how hard it would be to get clients, market themselves, and build a sustainable business.
And if they did get some kind of “business training,” at best they were told to build a website, get some business cards printed, and network. (And they soon realized how useless that advice was.)
That means most health coaches work hard to get their certifications but have no idea how to put them into practice.
That’s like having a brand new Tesla that sits in the driveway because you never learned how to drive it!
So a lot of coaches go out into the world with their shiny new certifications, high hopes … and flounder.
If they happen to find their way to a “health coach marketer,” the first thing they’re usually told to do is pick a niche. Unfortunately, a lot of coaches go down that road and still struggle to get clients.
One reason why is because they weren’t guided on how to choose a profitable niche.
A profitable niche starts with choosing the right audience. This decision literally makes or breaks your business.
The right audience has 3 specific things in common. These things make them eager to work with you, so you’ll have a much better chance of them becoming your clients.
Let me tell you what they are.
